ORIGINS COVID-19 Update

Masked Business As Usual

This COVID-19 pandemic continues to keep us all on our toes and The ORIGINS Project is following the advice of the WA Department of Health.

All appointments and sample drop offs will remain as normal and ORIGINS will be business as usual, wearing masks.

To clarify, the following procedures will be in place:

• Appointments - All ORIGINS appointments will continue as normal, though you will have the option to move your appointment to a virtual platform and have it via Telethealth.
   
  • If you have an appointment booked with the ORIGINS team in the upcoming week, these appointments will take place as normal, but you must wear a mask. We also do not want to overload the waiting room, so please do not arrive more than 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment.
  • If you do arrive early, please wait downstairs until 5 mins prior to your appointment time. Ensure you check in with the Safe WA QR code at the ORIGINS office entrance and wear a mask.
    
• Samples - if you are due to collect home samples over the coming weeks, please continue to do so. Sample drop offs will continue as usual. If you would rather not get out of your car, and you are dropping your samples to the ORIGINS office at JHC, you can pull up into the drop off area of the hospital and call the ORIGINS office number - 9408 3118 - and a team member will come down and collect them from you.

• Western Diagnostic Pathology - As far as we are aware Western Diagnostic Pathology (WDP) centres are business as usual and will be taking ORIGINS samples. However, if you are dropping off samples to a WDP location, it would be a good idea to call the WDP centre first to double check.
